Seeking God’s Heart for the Neighborhood. To walk the neighborhood with prayerful eyes and hearts, asking God to reveal His plans for this place and its people. Our goal is to bless, listen, and discern as we consider starting a Dinner Church here.

πŸ•• Before You Walk (10 Minutes)

1. Gather & Center

  • Open in prayer.
  • Read a Scripture together:
    • Jeremiah 29:7
    • Colossians 4:2–6
    • John 14:13-14
    • Psalm 25:4-5
    • James 1:5
    • Psalm 32:8
    • Proverbs 3:5-6

2. Group Up

  • Form pairs or small groups (2–3 people).
  • Review the purpose: Observe quietly, pray sincerely, and bless this neighborhood.

πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ As You Walk (30–45 Minutes)

Use the BLESS Prayer Framework:

  • B – Body: Pray for health, safety, and protection of residents.
  • L – Labor: Pray for jobs, local businesses, and financial stability.
  • E – Emotional: Pray for peace in families, healing from trauma, joy in hearts.
  • S – Social/Spiritual: Pray for connectedness, unity, spiritual openness.
  • S – Salvation: Pray that many come to know the love and grace of Jesus.

πŸ—’οΈ Optional: Jot down insights, impressions, or ideas for connection points.

πŸ™ After the Walk (10–15 Minutes)

1. Regroup and Share

  • What stood out to you?
  • Any conversations or nudges from the Holy Spirit?
  • Were there places or people you felt drawn to?

2. Pray Together

  • Thank God for what He revealed.
  • Ask for guidance in next steps if launching a Dinner Church here.
  • Pray blessing and peace over the neighborhood.

  • Repeat this walk weekly or monthly.
  • Build relationships with neighbors. Look for a person of peace, a bridge to the social community. Luke 10:5-6
  • Note potential gathering spaces (homes, cafΓ©s, parks, community buildings).
  • Begin inviting others to dream and pray with you.
