How Will You Organize Your Core Team And Missionaries For Launch?
Month Five Coaching Questions: What is your food preparation plan? How will you organize your core team and missionaries for launch?
A. PRAY!
B. Ask the leaders for a report on their growth steps from the previous month, “How do you call forth missionaries to work the Dinner Church.”
C. FIRST QUESTION FOR THIS SESSION: What is your food preparation plan?
Weekly food prep plan options:
1. Prepare on site. Must have a commercial kitchen. Difficult to prepare food for 60-100 people with a home oven.
2. Prepare at a church kitchen or another location and hotbox it to your location. Requires commercial pans and Cambro containers (hot boxes). Organized Pot Luck when starting?
3. Have a caterer prepare some or all of the meal and deliver it. Most expensive method unless you find a caterer who wants to donate some or all of the food for your meal (Entrée, salad, dessert). Win for both parties if you can partner with local restaurants for occasional food assistance. Dinner Church receives food, restaurant receives publicity.
D. Practical questions:
1. Who is your head cook? This is something that is best handled by someone other than the pastor.
2. Will you have rotating cooks, cooking teams.
3. Who will plan the menus.
4. Who oversees food quality control?
5. What health code regulations do you need to be aware of?
6. Who will do the shopping?
7. How is money being handled?
8. Beverages – Coffee/water/iced tea/lemonade? Dispensers
E. Tell a short story of how a group applied this question to their plant and the results they experienced.

SECOND QUESTION FOR THIS SESSION: “How will you organize your core team and missionaries for launch?”
A. What team members do you have in place? Who are you still looking for?”
People you need:
1. Set up, clean up crew. Clean up involves the room and kitchen.
2. Pastor – leads pre-meal meeting, vision nugget, prayer.
3. Cook – rotating teams of cooks?
4. Speaker for the night – How are you working out who brings the message every week?
5. Buffet Table Manager – Places people in positions to serve. Keeps food moving to buffet area, keeps an eye on portion servings (too small – too large) based prepared food.
6. Worship Artist – Leads in song the whole time except for during message. Volume 50-60%. Recorded music?
7. Artist – Painting or drawing a gospel centered picture. Explains/tells the gospel message as various guests come to view.
8. Security – Who is keeping an eye on the room for you?
9. Greeters – Welcoming arriving people. Fill out name tags for team and guests.
10. Missionaries (table friends, table hosts) – Who is in line getting food and sitting to eat with people?
11. Transport person – shuttle hotboxes to/from a specific location.
Note: Some team members can accomplish more than one task.
B. Important. Do a soft launch prior to opening day. Conduct a full-blown rehearsal of a Dinner Church service prior to launch. Invite friends and church members as guests. Work out the bugs!
